The #GoMetroPledge is a Central City Association of Los Angeles initiative to support the recently launched three new Metro Regional Connector Stations by encouraging organizations and their employees to take at least 24 Metro rides by 2024.
The Shammas Group kicked off their #GoMetroPledge with a companywide Metro trip to Union Station for lunch at Traxx Restaurant.
The #GoMetroPledge is a Central City Association of Los Angeles initiative to support the recently launched three new Metro Regional Connector Stations by encouraging organizations and their employees to take at least 24 Metro rides by 2024.
As part of their commitment to making this initiative a success, The Shammas Group provided each employee with a Metro Card loaded with $25 to continue using as they explore DTLA’s commercial centers, restaurants, and arts/cultural attractions.
The Regional Connector’s 1.9 miles of new track make it possible for light rail trains to travel between Union Station and the busy 7th Street/Metro Center Station in Downtown without the needs for transfers. Before the Regional Connector, only Metro’s heavy rail lines could make that journey.
